CDT English is one of the very few fortunate cadets to be placed on exactly the ship he wanted to get his first real sea experience with. A student at SUNY Maritime College, he is studying Marine Environmental Science with a focus on marine biology, and simultaneously earning a third mate's license through the USCG. James plans on immediately returning to NOAA as a NOAA Corps officer the very instant he graduates. Barring that, he can wait at least a few days. CDT English will be returning to SUNY in late August to finish his degree and earn his license.
